• Enter in the National Pak and be transported by the beauty of these exceptional landscapes. An easy walk brings you to the refuge de la Glière, but don’t stop here. The real treasure is 10 minutes further on, around the dried lake and the families of groundhogs.

If you are feeling brave,  continue on, through mountain fields until the Col de Palet and an incredible view over Tignes

• From the parking lot «  Fontanettes », the path starts in the forest, following a dry rock wall, over a grassy pasture to arrive at the Cow’s lake. Crossing the lake, the trail goes up the moraine of the Glacier of the Great Break, a remnant of the small ice age, and runs along Long Lake to reach the refuge of the Col de la Vanoise. In the middle of the groudhogs, admire the impressive Grande Casse.

• This hike offers you a full immersion into the natural reserve, Plan du Tueda. From here, the path, continues upwards towards the “Vallon du Fruit”.

First stop, at just 15 min. from the lake is the Refuge du Plan for a small snack or to stay the night. So close but already in the middle of nowhere.

And if you are feeling braver, continue walking, leaving the pine trees behind for the rocky valley until you reach the Refuge du Saut.
